Happy Birthday Dad

My dad's b-day was Tuesday.  My fam, Katie's fam, G-ma Dessie and of course the two that brought this man into the world were there too!  Mom fixed a delicious meal & I made the cake.  My dad is very special to all us girls.  He raised us with discipline and love.  He instilled in us the values of hard work and a savings account.  I remember mom making sure we greeted him at the back door when he was working so much to provide for our family.  How he would make all our ballgames on hardly any sleep, and go from working nights at Ash Grove,  to the fields.  How he never made us girls think he needed some boys on the farm instead.  How he bought me my first horse at age 12.  (I think are started begging for my own horse at age 8.) How he always had long talks with me after games about what I did right & wrong.  How he held me when he walked me down the aisle at my wedding.  The words he whispered in my ear when it was time to let me go to Clint.  The joy on his face when he saw his first grandchild.  And all the others that have followed.  How he got choked up the Sunday Clint went forward to gave his life to Christ.  How he baptised my husband.  How much effort he puts into his elder talks at the pulpit.  His secret givings.  How blessed I am to have him as my daddy.  I love you dad.  Addison & Macie love you so much too.

I owe my grandparents a big Thanks for raising my dad so well.

Getting some Papa love

Love you dad & Happy b-day!!!

A day with Laney Kate

Laney got to spend the day with us on Friday.  She was a little overwelmed at first with the girls in her face and shoving toys and dolls in her lap...

But she soon warmed up and enjoyed all the love.

She got a little bossy....

But she did like those babies!!! Thanks for hanging out Laney.

Max is 4 months old now. We are looking for an obedience school for him.

Headin' to the pond at Dad & Mom's.

Ready to catch something.

They didn't last long at it.

This is Sam. Dad's heeler. He loves to ride the mule.

And of course, we had to get the camper out.

We threw some balls....

And even caught a few...

The kids are promised to get all the coaching they can handle...and then some.

Laney enjoying the big ball.

Asleep? ya right, they're faking it.

Chef Charles hard at work

Almost 13 years I've been married to this man.  He is my partner, best friend and true love.

Larry has the worst luck when he comes down to go fishing.

But not this day!!

He finally got a nice one.

Brant helped him reel this bad boy in.  Can ya believe they threw it back.. I guess Larry is hoping to catch that one again!

Some of the Thompson clan.

Looks like a deep conversation to me.

Our family decided to stay in the camper Sunday night.  We ate pizza and enjoyed the evening. The girls did some coloring before it got too dark.  Clint & I didn't sleep much because of the wind.  Everything in the camper was flapping and rattling.  The girls didn't seem to mind at all.
