Happy B-day Clint

Clint's b-day was Aug. 8th.  He didn't want to do anything special so we had lunch together and ate this big cookie!!  He is such a great hubby and daddy!! We love him so much. 

 

 The girls were trying to help blow out his one and only candle and he was not cooperating.

One Important Decision

On Aug. 4th -  Addie made a HUGE decision to get baptized by her daddy!! We had talked about it some after church camp and she decided that she was ready!  Since the baptistery was blocked because of VBS we decided that we would do it at camp where the decision was first stirred up.  So despite the rain and rushing waters of the bridge we headed to Hidden Haven.  Some of our family and some of our church family came out to witness the special day!  Addie is a new believer in Christ and has made that important decision to follow and obey the Lord!! Hallelujah

4-H 2013 Addie's 3rd year

Addie has once again gotten a grand champion in photography.  Thanks to me, just saying. I have told her all her shots to take on her grands!!  Ha Ha  This year it was this pic.  Macie with her cowgirl hat in a wheat field. It turned out pretty sweet. 

 And we still did dog showmanship and obedience with our new pup, Case. He did really good for only being 9 months.  She got a reserved champion in showmanship and  a white in obedience.

Macie played coach pitch softball and loved it!  She was fun to watch.  Clint and Slim were the coaches, so that made it extra special.

Addie is off to church camp this week so Macie and I introduced Leah to the pool!  She liked it.  She is getting to be such a big girl.  7 1/2 months already...

After the storm

I love being outside after a storm has passed by.  Something about the smell and stillness of it all is mesmerizing.  This evening was so pretty.  The dark clouds rolling  by with the sunset still so bright was awesome to behold.

P.E. Day 2013

Macie's P.E. Day was last Wednesday.  Perfect day. Nice and warm. She had a blast with all the games. And of course, she had to get wet...

 Clint got to make some of the fun on his lunch break.  Leah was happy to see her daddy.

 

Addie's day was today.  Thankfully the hard rains held off while they were at the field.

 Laney, Mimi, Papa, G-pa Slim,and G-ma Susie came and watched the races.   I had to get a pic of Laney.

 Tug of war was girls against boys.  The girls won all 3 times .  It was pretty funny.

 She is actually really trying here folks.. Look at that face!!!

Leah was a trooper.  She is starting to get use to being dragged around to all her sisters stuff.  If she has her blanket and thumb, she's good!
