Dressed up? Photo opportunity.

We had an elder-deacon supper at church tonight.  I had to take advantage of us looking nice and the great evening weather for a family pic.   The topic was prayer.  I challenge us all to pray more.  I know I need to do more of it. Prayer can move mountains!!  "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."  Phil 4:6-7.

Batter Up!

Saturday Clint & the girls got their bats out & did some awesome hitting.  Clint is really good with showing them how its done.

Most of my shots were behind the girls, the one time I came out Addie about got me and that brought back bad memories..... Getting hit with the ball while I was running to first.  ( That was the last time I played)
The girls & I went down to our favorite water hole.  Macie was holding on tight, since she already had ended up falling in the cool water.

Check out that contact!

And check out those guns on my hun!!

Farm Livin'

Whit and the kids came down yesterday.  Since it was so beautiful outside we decided to take a walk down to the pasture to check on the owl. We noticed that Brant and Josie were falling behind.  They were having troubles walking through the grass?? and old cow patties.  Macie seem to be just fine in her flip flops, but Brant was not liking his ankles getting scratched with the taller grass.  Whit told him to get over it and we continued on.  The owl had left his nest, so we did some tree climbing. After checking out the horses & cows, we later took a mule ride to the Powers' farm to visit their animals.  They have sheep, chickens, and one good ol' pony.  The kids enjoyed holding the new lambs and chicks, and of course a ride on Bambi.  I love my country farm life!! I can only take so much of that city- traffic, people and conjestion! I can understand when Whit needs to come home to the farm.

The LONG trip through the pasture.

Brant the dare devil.

The owl has flown away. (See older posts)
Feeding Ky ( my horse)

Checking out our cows.  They were being very friendly.

Jett's usual state.

What's behind door #1?  Just cows.
Brand new baby lambs at the Powers farm. Our good friends & neighbors.

Baby chicks!! Barbara had just got them that day.

I hope this picture is around in 15 years.
Poor Bambi.  She is one valuable pony.  She is sooo old.
Bambi is a true babysitter. She has given hundreds of rides.
You must end the day with popcorn and a good movie!!

Breakfast?  Pancakes of course.   I hope these kids are always this close.

A little Macie time

It's been almost 2 weeks since we actually walked up and checked on this little guy.  He is really changing. But still just stares at us and lets us take pictures.  I know he won't be here much longer. I bet his wings are almost ready to take flight!

This shows how low he is in the tree. Macie finally got brave and got pretty close.

Max is now 10 wks and driving me crazy. I don't know what I was thinking when I agreed to this pup.  I like him much better outside.

Macie and I spent most of the day outside.  She is a big helper and doesn't mind getting dirty.  We got some flower beds ready, planted some seeds, took a walk to check on the owl, mowed some grass, brushed the old horse, and enjoyed the warmer weather.  I like hangin out with my baby.  As we were walking back to the house from the pasture, I pointed out to her where I had burnt some grass 2 wks ago, and how already that patch was green and growing. And Miss Macie said, " That's what God does, makes things grow."  How simple and yet so amazing her little mind works.  If only everyone believed like that.

A little Monkey Business was needed.

The girls and I went to KC over spring break hopeing for warm weather, but no such luck.  So Whit & I
took the kids to Monkey Business. A inside play ground to burn off some energy.

Jett just slept away.
